Soul Mates.

While reading Eat Pray Love today I stumbled across an excerpt that caught my attention from Liz's travels in India.  I happen to really appreciate Richard from Texas, and he happens to say some pretty great things.  So let me share a passage that rings heavily with truths about what a soul mate could be.  It's an interesting way to approach the topic that most people assume means "meant to be" forever.

"People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants.  But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that's holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.  A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake.  But to live with a soul mate forever?  Nah.  Too painful.  Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then they leave. "-Richard from Texas

Intriguing yes? This book is beyond wonderful from insights like this to inspiration in the form of self discovery and enlightenment.  I'd recommend it highly as a read that will put a smile on your face while you follow the story of a woman on a journey to re-find herself.  PS this book will also make you want to TRAVEL. Fair warning.
